Job summary

A leading equipment manufacturer is looking for a Team Leader – Maintenance to oversee safety assessments, monitor preventative maintenance, and coach team members. The role requires an apprentice trained craftsman with experience in industrial maintenance. You should have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, and willing to work in a multi-shift pattern. A Fork Lift Truck and MEWP licence are preferred. Team Leader – Maintenance (Technical Services)

What You Will Do
  • Lead safety risk assessments.
  • Take breakdown report calls and allocate jobs across the team.
  • Monitor preventative maintenance performance.
  • Identify opportunities for predictive maintenance.
  • Assist and stand-in for the Production Manager.
  • Route cause analysis on any issues raised within your area of responsibility.
  • Ensure all relevant information is communicated to appropriate departments/personnel.
  • Hold daily start of shift meetings.
  • Coach team members.
  • Culture – reinforce Caterpillar's Values in Action.
  • Participate in Rapid Improvement Workshops (RIW's).
  • Respond to unforeseen quality, staffing, safety and production matters, liaise with Section Manager with an immediate corrective action plan.
  • Adhere to the Company's Health & Safety policy and safe working practices.
  • Undertake training and further learning as required.
  • Report all Health and Safety incidences in line with the company guidelines.
Qualifications
  • An apprentice trained craftsman with experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
  • As a team member the ability to work closely with others is imperative, requiring team participation to achieve the agreed objectives.
  • A self‑motivated individual, with the flexibility to deal with individual and team behaviours, you should be able to motivate others with your advice and experience.
  • Initiative and strong communication, interpersonal & organisational skills.
  • Identify with the belief in the value of continuous improvement & team‑based culture.
  • Willing to undertake training and further learning.
  • Willing to work a multi‑shift pattern.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • A current accredited Fork Lift Truck and MEWP licence would be an advantage.
  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
