Maintenance Supervisor (Shift Based)

Location: Slough
Shift Pattern: 2 Days (07:00–19:00), 2 Nights (19:00–07:00), 4 days off
Salary: £52,000–£65,000 + Shift Premium + Bonus + Benefits


We’re looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join our Slough site. You’ll lead a team of 12 Associates, ensuring every shift runs safely and smoothly so our people and machines can perform at their best. From coaching and developing your team to delivering operational maintenance, you’ll play a key role in keeping production moving and building a culture of continuous improvement.

What are we looking for?

  • Experience in leading or supervising a maintenance team within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
  • Recognised engineering qualification (e.g., apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, ONC/HNC, or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering).
  • Good knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance in a food or process-driven industry.
  • Ability to solve problems, prioritise, and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop a team.
  • Experience with CMMS or EAM systems (SAP preferred).
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, TPM, or Reliability-Centred Maintenance.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • Lead and support your team of 12 Associates through coaching, 1:1s, and clear development plans.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and maximum uptime.
  • Drive a proactive maintenance culture, delivering safe and efficient planned and reactive tasks.
  • Partner with production teams to minimise downtime and support continuous improvement.
