Overview

Maintenance Supervisor

Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting our client with the recruitment of a Maintenance Supervisor for a brand-new plant build. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a business at the very start of its journey. As Maintenance Supervisor, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing SOPs, building a high-performing maintenance team, and shaping the standards for a state-of-the-art facility.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 6 maintenance technicians on day shift; supervise and coordinate to ensure machinery, equipment and facilities operate safely, reliably and efficiently from day one.
  • Develop and implement maintenance SOPs and best practices for a new plant build.
  • Oversee planned preventive maintenance (PPM) schedules and ensure timely completion.
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns and emergencies, minimising downtime.
  • Monitor equipment performance and drive improvements in reliability and efficiency.
  • Manage contractors and external service providers.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
  • Support commissioning, installation and integration of new equipment and systems.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop your team to build skills and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
About You

We\'re looking for a proactive leader who enjoys working in an ever changing setting, who is eager for a challenge.

  • Essential:
    • Engineering qualification (NVQ, HNC, HND, or equivalent) in Mechanical/Electrical/Maintenance.
    • Proven supervisory or team leader experience within maintenance.
    • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
    • Background in both planned and reactive maintenance.
    • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards.
    • IT literate (maintenance systems & MS Office).
  • Desirable:
    • Experience in plant commissioning/start-up environments.
    • Exposure to designing or rolling out SOPs and maintenance frameworks.
