Maintenance Shift Technician vacancy in Oxfordshire (004lw)

We are seeking a Maintenance Shift Technician with a strong electrical background to support high-volume assembly operations at our client’s manufacturing site.

This is a hands‑on role focused on fault‑finding, preventative maintenance, and keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently. This position is well suited to ex‑military engineers, particularly from REME, RAF, Royal Navy, or Royal Engineers backgrounds, with experience maintaining electrical or electro‑mechanical systems in safety‑critical environments.

If you are comfortable fault‑finding electrical systems, following procedures, working to high standards, and taking ownership on shift, your skills will transfer well.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical fault‑finding and maintenance of plant and machinery
  • Planned preventative maintenance using CMMS
  • Support production uptime, quality, and safety
  • Work to H&S, LOTO, and environmental standards
  • Assist with continuous improvement and new equipment installation
Skills & Experience
  • Time‑served electrical or electrically biased apprenticeship
  • Experience maintaining industrial or automated equipment
  • Strong safety mindset and ability to work on own initiative
  • IOSH, CMMS, and CDM knowledge desirable
  • Military qualifications and experience welcomed as equivalent
