Qualifications

  • Hold a mechanical or electrical engineering qualification gained through a time served apprenticeship or study.
  • Knowledge of permit systems, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Supervisory experience in a technical field.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an engineering shift team to create a high performing culture.
  • Plan and prioritize the workload for the engineering team.
  • Execute planned preventative maintenance to maximize machinery uptime.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and good manufacturing practices.
  • Document shift activities, performance, and necessary reports accurately.

Skills

Mechanical or electrical engineering qualification
Knowledge of permit systems
Supervisory experience
Fault finding on manufacturing machinery
PLC Awareness
Understanding Engineering Systems maintenance
Food or FMCG Manufacturing Experience

Education

Time served apprenticeship or study, ideally at NVQ L3
