Job summary

A leading global advisory firm is seeking a Maintenance Services Engineer to ensure the effective operation of engineering services within their buildings. Responsibilities include all aspects of building maintenance, reactive and planned tasks, and working with modern systems. Candidates should have relevant electrical qualifications and strong problem-solving skills. The role is onsite in London and requires teamwork and interaction with various stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of L8 standards and legislation.
  • Knowledge of all office Building services, i.e. AC, Drainage.
  • Technical drawing, computer modelling and IT competence.

Job description
Overview

Maintenance Services Engineers are responsible for ensuring the cost-effective, smooth running, environmentally sound and sustainable design and maintenance of engineering services in our buildings. Areas of responsibility include all equipment and materials involved with heating, lighting, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical distribution, water supply, sanitation, public health, fire protection, safety systems, lifts, escalators, facade engineering and acoustics. This is an onsite role based at London with working hours of 36.7 hours in 8 weeks period.

Responsibilities
  • Join an established 'in house' team, working a staggered day rota, including weekends.
  • Undertaking all aspects of building services, working on a wide variety of modern plant, equipment and systems controlled by Siemens BMS.
  • Responsibilities would include reactive and planned maintenance to all Building Services.
  • Participation in an out of hours call out procedure.
  • Interaction with building users of all levels and third-party service providers is required.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • C&G Electrical Installation Level 3 Apprenticeship served, ideally knowledge and experience of working within large office environment
  • 18th Edition IEE Regulations
  • Electrical Testing and Inspection would be desirable
  • Knowledge of L8
  • Knowledge of BMS and Lighting Controls Systems
  • Problem-solving ability and Analytical ability
  • Communication skills
  • The ability to work as part of a team or individually
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety standards and legislation
  • Knowledge of all office Building services, i.e. AC, Drainage
  • Time-management
  • Technical drawing, computer modelling and IT competence
  • HV AP Authorised would be desirable
