Maintenance Manager

Location: Suffolk

Salary: Up to £65,000

Shift pattern: Monday to Friday days, 40 hours per week

This is a fantastic opportunity for an Maintenance Manager with a proven track record, to join a well-established FMCG manufacturer in Suffolk. You will be an essential part of the leadership team for the unit, ensuring strong engineering reliability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop a multidisciplinary engineering team (mechanical, electrical, and controls) to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
  • Oversee both planned and reactive maintenance activities, fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Manage engineering budgets and contribute to the delivery of site performance targets.
  • Ensure full compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements (including LOLER, PUWER, DSEAR).
  • Drive the adoption of Lean tools and structured problem‑solving techniques across the team.
  • Support capital investment projects and lead defect elimination initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Proven leadership experience within engineering, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Previous roles may include (Engineering Supervisor, Engineering Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Manager, Lead Engineer, Engineering Lead, Maintenance Lead or Reliability Manager)
  • FMCG or food manufacturing experience is highly desirable; other fast‑paced industry backgrounds will also be considered.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence at all levels.
