A leading railway company in the UK is seeking a Maintenance Engineering Manager to oversee Fleet Maintenance Engineering activities for the Class 730 fleets. You will lead and coordinate a team of engineers to ensure a safe and cost-efficient fleet. Ideal candidates should have a degree in an engineering discipline, strong knowledge of traction systems, and project management skills. This role will be based at either Soho or Bletchley depot and will be responsible for overseeing Fleet Maintenance Engineering (FME) activities for the Class 730 fleets, comprising both 3-car and 5-car units, operating across both locations.

You'll be leading and coordinating a team of Engineers to deliver activities and projects to provide a safe, reliable, and cost-efficient fleet of trains, which meets the Train Operator’s presentation requirements and complies with their Safety Case obligations.The role isapproximately split 50:50 between Engineering and Management activities and involve both day to day availability and reliability alongside future innovative engineering solutions.
