Job description

Overview

Maintenance Engineer London manufacturing sector (must have hands on role fixing machinery in a factory). This is actually a 1 year contract, with the possibility of a permanent role at the end. Location: North London (Enfield area).

The site is fully automated with significant onsite investment and new kit being installed. The role involves 12-hour day and night shifts. The company can accommodate a one-month notice for someone currently in a role.

Responsibilities

• Reactive and planned maintenance of production machinery
• Electrical or mechanical fault finding and repair (depending on skill set)
• Minimise equipment downtime
• Support on breakdowns
• Assist with continuous improvement

Requirements

• A formal engineering qualification to at least City & Guilds level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent with practical experience
• Good working knowledge of automated systems/ production machinery
• From a manufacturing background
• Mechanical and electrical proven experience

Salary & Career potential

Maintenance Engineer basic salary is circa £70k plus overtime opportunities; current engineers can work 60-70 hours if desired. This is a LONG TERM CONTRACT and can lead to a permanent role if wished.

Location: Enfield area, North London. Shift pattern: 12-hour days and nights.
