Salary: GBP40,000 - GBP45,000 DOE
Hours: 4 days on, 4 days off 7 am - 6.15 pm

You ll be trusted with

  • Operating, maintaining, improving, and repairing equipment to meet production targets safely and efficiently
  • Understanding the full vertical farm process and applying mechanical and electrical skills
  • Conducting changeovers, repairs, and adjustments using cams, slides, bearings, belts, and pulleys
  • Fault-finding and repairing pneumatic and electrical systems
  • Performing risk assessments, writing permits, and collaborating with contractors
  • Using Microsoft Office and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Managing CMMS work orders and performing preventative maintenance
  • Leading initiatives in safety, environment, production output, and root cause analysis
  • Auditing engineering stores and applying 5S principles
  • Creating operating procedures and training guides
  • Supporting maintenance shutdowns and engineering projects

What you ll bring:

  • Time-served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent skill level
  • Qualifications in English and Mathematics
  • Experience in FMCG manufacturing, ideally within the food industry
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, bench fitting, and machining skills
  • Knowledge of food hygiene standards
  • Exposure to project management tools and techniques
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
