Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer looking for a rewarding role in a world‑class manufacturing environment? Our client, based in Plymouth, is seeking a multi‑skilled engineer to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our production equipment. What You’ll Do
  • Perform planned preventative maintenance to keep equipment safe and reliable.
  • Diagnose and repair machine breakdowns quickly and effectively.
  • Install and maintain single‑phase and three‑phase electrical circuits.
  • Support corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and cost efficiency.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety and environmental standards.
What We’re Looking For
  • Relevant engineering qualification or industry‑related certification.
  • Time‑served Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment (mechanical bias preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of PLC control systems.
  • Ability to work shifts (Annualised Hours pattern), overtime, and call‑outs.
  • Understanding of 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Proficient in IT (Microsoft Office).
  • Commitment to safe working practices and ability to pass medical/drug tests.
Desirable Skills
  • Multi‑skilled engineering experience.
  • IEE Regulations qualification (18th edition).
Shift Pattern
  • Core hours: Monday‑Friday, 7am‑3pm (37.5 hrs/week).
  • Additional shifts include back shifts, night shifts, and weekends (with time off in lieu).
  • Optional standby with on‑call payment.
