Job description

A leading manufacturing business in Worcestershire is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work on a day hours basis, Monday to Friday. You will lead effective reactive and planned preventative maintenance works and ensure accurate record keeping.


Commutable from: Worcester, Evesham, Malvern, Tewkesbury,

Salary: Excellent Salary plus benefits including paid overtime, pension and extended annual leave.


The Role

Working as part of a busy team across a large, multi-building site, the Maintenance Engineer will support planned and reactive maintenance including:

  • Supporting investigation and fault finding on PLC (Siemens/Omron)
  • Conduct inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.
  • Checking electrical and hydraulic systems of equipment buildings and machinery to ensure functionality.
  • Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities, consulting with subcontractors and external service providers where applicable.
  • Monitoring the equipment inventory and placing orders when necessary
  • Keeping accurate maintenance logs and report on daily activities
  • Maintaining the highest awareness of health and safety best practice.


The Person

The successful candidate for the Maintenance Engineer position will possess a proven record in manufacturing plant and operations maintenance including:

  • Proven experience as maintenance engineer/ technician
  • A recognised and relevant qualification to a minimum of NVQ L3 or equivalent.
  • Experience in planning maintenance schedules
  • Solid understanding of technical aspects of mechanical and electrical systems, including fault-finding with reference to schematics and to component level.
  • Working knowledge of factory operations including process equipment and related automation functions including PLC and robotic equipment.
  • Ability to keep track of and report on activity using a centralised system.
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
