Maintenance Shift Manager – Blackpool | Competitive Salary + Shift Allowance

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer ready to take the next step into leadership? Do you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and have a passion for keeping operations running smoothly? Our client is a market-leading manufacturer known for innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and support a team of maintenance engineers across your shift, 50% hands on and 50% support/admin
  • Ensure all planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs are completed efficiently
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance
  • Manage resources, prioritise workloads, and maintain compliance with safety standards
  • Provide hands-on technical support when required
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and report KPIs to senior management
About You
  • Proven experience in engineering leadership or as a senior engineer ready for the next step
  • Time-served engineer with a recognised qualification (NVQ, ONC, HNC, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of PPM systems and fault-finding (electrical and/or mechanical)
  • Background in a fast-paced manufacturing environment — food/FMCG highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proactive approach
