Maintenance Engineer - FMCG


Location - Cambridgeshire


Salary - Up to £56,500


Shift Pattern - PANAMA style night shift


Henderson Brown is delighted to be partnering with a respected FMCG manufacturer based in Cambridgeshire, who are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team. Responsibilities


  • Responsible for the maintenance of plant equipment, including both mechanical and electrical systems

  • Maintain a plant maintenance system in line with company policies and engineering procedures

  • Ensure all maintenance is carried out with full regard to food safety, product quality, and health & safety

  • Carry out both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, minimising downtime and supporting plant uptime targets

  • Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to support machine trials, improvements, and developments

  • Maintain engineering standards and ensure work areas are kept clean and compliant

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external contractors to complete maintenance activities efficiently



Requirements


  • Time-served apprenticeship with formal electrical qualification

  • Experience in a similar role (such as multi skilled engineer, electrical maintenance engineer, shift engineer, shift technician, maintenance technician)

  • Ideally experienced within a food manufacturing environment

  • Confident in fault diagnosis and applying root cause analysis
