Overview

Electrical/Automation Engineer – Location: Commutable from Bishop\'s Stortford, Epping, Sawbridgeworth, Stansted, and surrounding areas. Sector: FMCG (Permanent). Salary: £38,000-£45,000 + OTE. Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00-16:00 or 9:00-17:00.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues on electrical, mechanical, and automation systems.
  • Work with PLCs, including Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley control logic.
  • Integrate and maintain PCs and automated systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on machinery and equipment.
  • Respond to callouts as part of a rotational system managed by the team.
  • Ensure compliance with UK wiring regulations (17th or 18th Edition).
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with PLCs such as Siemens S7 and Allen Bradley.
  • Hold 17th or 18th Edition certification.
  • Completed an apprenticeship or have equivalent post-college experience.
  • Previous experience in an FMCG or automated manufacturing environment is advantageous.
