Job summary

A leading engineering recruitment firm is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer for a food manufacturing facility in Craigavon. This role involves conducting both reactive and planned maintenance on various machines while working in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 3 qualifications in Engineering or Mechatronics and at least 4 years of relevant experience. A flexible shift pattern including nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years recent and relevant work experience within a production or manufacturing environment.
• Able to work rotating 12 hour, continental shifts with weekend and night shift work included.

Job description

Overview

Multi Skilled Engineer — Food / Manufacturing

42 hours per week, working a continental shift pattern (7am - 7pm / 7pm - 7am). This post includes weekend work as part of a rotating schedule.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and pre planned maintenance on a variety of machines
• Assist team to work towards maximising plant and equipment efficiency so downtime is minimised
• Ensure planned engineering tasks are delivered on time and in full
• Ensure good repair / manufacturing practices and procedures are followed
• Ensure completion of planned maintenance documents
• Diagnostics and repair abilities of various electrical and automation systems
• Work closely with production staff to achieve daily targets
• PPM and breakdown experience

Knowledge of equipment

• Refrigeration systems
• Vacuum packing equipment
• Boilers and steam distribution network

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering with strong cross trade skills in mechanical/electrical OR NVQ Level 3 in Mechatronics
• Minimum of 4 years recent and relevant work experience within a production or manufacturing environment
• Able to work rotating 12 hour, continental shifts with weekend and night shift work included
