A leading steel producer based in Wednesfield is seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join their Operations team. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in electrical maintenance and fault finding within a heavy industrial environment. Maintenance Electrician – Location: Wednesfield, Wolverhampton. Salary: up to £44,840 including shift allowance. Permanent. Hours: 3 Shift pattern (Mornings, Afternoons, Nights). Start: ASAP.

Job Overview

Our clients are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician member to join their Operations team at the Steelpark site in Wolverhampton. The ideal candidate will have a sound electrical background, proven track record of fault finding within a heavy industrial environment and have a desire to learn and develop.

You will work in a multi-disciplinary shift team to keep production equipment operating safely, reliably and efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and get equipment back online quickly
  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime
  • Record work and parts used in Pirana and keep job histories up to date
  • Spot recurring issues, feed into root cause fixes and support continuous improvement
  • Champion safe working and good housekeeping across the line
Qualifications and Experience
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an electrical discipline, or a recognised apprenticeship
  • Strong hands-on electrical maintenance and fault finding experience
  • A proactive approach, able to work independently and as part of a shift team
  • Good understanding of health and safety in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in high-volume or automated production is an advantage
