Overview

Job Title: Maintenance Electrician. Location: Frome. Salary: £49,000 per annum. Shifts: 4 on 4 off (days).

We are looking for a Maintenance Electrician to support the safe, efficient running of fixed plant and site assets. You will be responsible for electrical maintenance, repair, inspection, and installation across LV/HV systems, motors, drives, instrumentation, and control systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on plant and electrical systems.
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair LV/HV distribution, motors, drives, and lighting.
• Support instrumentation, PLCs, and control systems fault finding.
• Maintain accurate records using CMMS and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Assist with projects and mentor apprentices where required.

Qualifications

• ECS/JIB Electrician (Gold) card.
• Time-served apprenticeship/NVQ or 5+ years' maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of H&S legislation and safe systems of work.
• HNC/HND, HV training, or IET membership advantageous.
