Job summary

A leading plastic extrusion manufacturer in Wolverhampton is offering a Level 3 Mechatronics apprenticeship. Apprentices will engage in filter cleaning, maintenance tasks, and gain hands-on experience in fabrication and welding. Upon successful completion of the 39-month program, a full-time position will be available. Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and Friday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Qualifications

• Completion of the Level 3 Mechatronics apprenticeship program.
• Ability to perform filter cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct filter cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Involve in fabrication and welding activities.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there will be a full-time position available at the company.

Daily/Weekly Tasks

• Filter Cleaning
• Oiling/Greasing punches
• Emptying dust extractors
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Reactive maintenance
• Fabrication
• Welding
• Electrical Installation

Apprenticeship Details

This is a Level 3 Mechatronics apprenticeship, delivered over a 39 month period.

The apprentice will attend the training centre, In-Comm Training Services in Aldridge, WS9 8UG, 2 and a half days per week for the first 20 months.

Working hours: Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 4.00pm. Friday 8.00am - 3.00pm.
