Along with other cancer psychologists in the team, you will work with cancer patients and their adult family members at all stages of cancer diagnosis and treatment. You will offer specialist assessment and treatment for a wide range of cancer-related psychological concerns, and work closely with the cancer MDTs to provide psychological consultation, training and supervision. You will use research skills to inform service developments and evaluations. You will be well-supported to develop the specialist skills required for this role.
There are many opportunities to develop and shape the service, as well as to contribute to regional and national service and strategy developments in psycho-oncology. We have excellent links with the regional Clinical Psychology training course, University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University, with opportunities for teaching, supervision and research.
