Job summary

Job description

PE Global is currently recruiting for 2 Machinist for a leading multi-national oilfield services company and a leader in digital solutions for subsurface and surface engineering, based in Barrow in Furness.

This is an initial 12 months contract position working on site in Barrow in Furness.

Duties of the role/Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate and maintain machines in a safe and efficient manner
  • Monitor output during operation and make adjustments as needed
  • Follow production schedules and ensure the timely completion of tasks
  • Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machines as they arise
  • Maintain accurate records of production data and machine maintenance
  • Follow safety protocols to minimize workplace accidents and injuries
  • Collaborate with team members to improve production processes and outcomes
  • Participate in daily shop floor meetings to ensure timely communication of production issues and monitor completion of targets
Education/Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience of machine shop operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Desirable

  • Recognised mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent
  • Previous experience of basic CNC programming
