Rotating Days & Nights (12 hour shifts)

Purpose of job

To ensure that moulding machines run to the specification established by the Technical Department, and that containers are produced to the customer\'s agreed specification

Responsibilities
  • To ensure that moulding machines and ancillary equipment are in good running order. To report any defects to supervision and carry out any remedial work as instructed by supervision which is within the technician\'s level of competence
  • To ensure that product arriving at the packing station is to an acceptable quality standard.
  • To report any variations from standard to supervision and carry out any machine adjustments within capabilities
  • To remove, clean, refit, realign or carry out other necessary adjustments to parts of downstream equipment
  • To ensure that the moulding machines, ancillary equipment and the immediate work area are maintained to a high standard of housekeeping and cleanliness at all times.
  • To ensure that all duties are carried out in accordance with good Health and Safety practice.
  • To perform any other duties in connection with the job that may from time to time be reasonably required by supervision and which are consistent with the "Main Purpose of the Job".
Skills/Experience/Profile
  • Experience of SACMI Machinery highly advantageous OR exposure to compressing moulding manufacturing
  • Ideally experienced within FMCG manufacturing
  • A methodical and proactive approach to your work
  • Ability to work to the highest safety and quality standards
  • An excellent communicator who enjoys working in a small team
