Job Description:

Connect Appointments have a new opportunity for an individual to become a Machine Shop Supervisor with our established employee-owned East Kilbride based client. Please note that the successful candidate must have previous experience in a Machine Operating supervisory role.

Salary: £42,000 to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)

What's on offer?

  • Full-time position, 39 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
  • Eligibility for the client's profit-sharing bonus scheme
  • 32 days annual leave

Working as a Machine Shop Supervisor you will be responsible for:

  • Producing components to a high standard
  • Ensuring consistent standards in quality of finished components
  • Identifying areas of improvement within production processes
  • Supervising and overseeing a team of Welders and Machine Operators

To be successful as a Machine Shop Supervisor you will have previous machine operating experience, ideally in a supervisory capacity. Combined with a good level of hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity; the ability to read mechanical detail drawings; and great attention to detail. The successful candidate will also have previous experience operating a manual horizontal borer.
