A well-known Fabrication & Welding company in Wem is seeking a Machine Shop Manager. The successful candidate will manage a team, oversee fabrication processes, and ensure adherence to health & safety protocols. Essential experience includes CNC milling, lathes, and manual machines. This position offers a pivotal role in a dynamic workshop environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with CNC Milling, Lathes & Manual machines is essential.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication is desirable.

The Role - Machine Shop Manager

• Managing a team within the Machine Shop
• Managing the sheet metal fabrication and machining side of the business
• Planning work and adhering to deadlines
• Overseeing health & safety within the workshop
• Liaising with the other Workshop Manager & Factory Manager
• Utilise the bespoke management software to monitor, manage, and progress works orders throughout the facility
• Ensure all required data within the management software is recorded correctly

What our client is looking for in a Machine Shop Manager

• Minimum of 3 year\'s experience in a similar role – ESSENTIAL
• You MUST have experience with CNC Milling, Lathes & Manual machines - ESSENTIAL
• You have experience with sheet metal fabrication – DESIRABLE
