Overview

Independent Forgings and Alloys Ltd (IFA) are continuing to invest and grow, and we are looking to add to our Machine Shop department. We are now looking for an experienced Machine Shop Labourer.

Rotating shifts AM and PM.

AM: 0600 to 1400 Mon-Thursday, 0600 to 1330 Friday. PM: 1300 to 2100 Mon-Thursday, 1000 to 1730 Friday.

Main Purpose of the Role

As our Machine Shop Labourer, you will dispose of machine shop waste, turnings, general rubbish and waste oils (housekeeping) and pack and transport finished machined parts. You will segregate, weigh and log valuable scrap turnings and check job and cast numbers match input WRCs. You will select the correct donor ring for tests and locate and transport input forgings to the machine shop. Assisting the machinists as required, you will load and unload lorries and assist with any other duties as reasonably deemed necessary.

Your background should include

• Forklift truck license.
• O/H crane and slinging.
• MEWP license.
