Overview

Job Title: Machine Setter Supervisor
Location: Gillingham, Kent
Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 4:30pm; Friday, 7:00am - 11:00am
Contract: Permanent

We are seeking a hands-on and mechanically minded Supervisor to lead the Auto Rivet and Band Cutting department. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, family-run manufacturing environment where your leadership and technical skills will make a real impact.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the department, ensuring smooth workflow and productivity.
  • Diagnose and resolve machine faults to support efficient production.
  • Carry out tool changes and liaise with the Factory Manager on production schedules.
  • Train and develop team members to ensure flexibility and coverage.
  • Coordinate with other departments to maintain a steady flow of work.
  • Participate in daily Gemba walks and collaborate with toolroom and maintenance teams for machine upkeep.
