We’re seeking a proactive and practical individual to join a leading production business on the outskirts of Grantham as a Machine Repair Technician. You’ll play a key role in keeping production machinery running smoothly, carrying out routine maintenance, minor mechanical repairs, and monitoring operational efficiency. Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs on production equipment.
• Operate and calibrate product treatment lines, ensuring safe and accurate chemical application.
• Monitor and adjust equipment settings to maintain optimal processing conditions and minimise downtime.
• Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical faults, escalating more complex issues to the Plant Manager.
• Keep accurate records of repairs, calibrations, chemical usage, and cleaning, in line with certification and health & safety requirements.

What skills you will need

• Basic mechanical and engineering skills, with experience in operating or maintaining machinery.
• A practical mindset with the ability to follow technical procedures accurately.
• Good problem-solving ability and initiative when handling mechanical issues.
• Forklift Truck (FLT) experience is desirable but not essential.
