Job summary

Job description

White Raven Resourcing Ltd are recruiting on behalf of our long-established client, Cheshire Mouldings in St Helens , for an experienced Moulder Operator / Machinist . This is a fast-paced role within a skilled and supportive team. Salary is dependent on experience and will be discussed at interview.

Key Responsibilities :

Report directly to the Mill Manager.

Operate timber-cutting machinery safely and accurately, ensuring components meet exact specifications and quality standards.

Set up and operate wood-working machines to produce small mouldings and PSEs from solid wood to a high-quality finish.

Set up and operate wood moulders (ideally Weinig Powermat & Hydromat).

Follow all Health & Safety procedures, including correct use of PPE and safe handling of machinery.

Maintain a clean and organised work area.

Inspect finished components for quality and consistency, making adjustments where required.

Understand wood properties, timber grades, and machining defects.

Read and interpret technical drawings and cutting lists to ensure accurate production.

Measure and mark timber accurately using tape measures, callipers, and other precision tools.
