A leading project management firm in London is seeking an experienced M&E Project Manager to oversee mechanical and electrical systems across local authority projects. This role offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement and involves managing project budgets, collaborating with teams, and ensuring compliance with UK standards. Ideal candidates will have proven project management experience in the public sector.

Qualifications

  • HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (or degree equivalent) with relevant experience.
  • Proven experience managing M&E projects, ideally within the public sector/local authorities.
  • Strong knowledge of M&E systems, UK building codes, and health & safety standards.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility to work both remotely and on-site across London.

  • Integrate monitoring and evaluation (M&E) systems into broader project frameworks.
  • Manage project budgets and provide regular updates to council leadership.
  • Ensure that all M&E installations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Contract: Until March 2025 (potential extension)
Day Rate: £370/day (Inside IR35)
Working Arrangement: 2 days in office, 3 days WFH/on-site depending on project needs

We’re looking for an experienced M&E Project Manager to lead the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems across a range of local authority projects in London. This role offers a flexible hybrid working model and the chance to contribute to high-impact public projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage M&E elements for council-led projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to specification.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and contractors to develop and approve M&E designs compliant with UK regulations and local authority standards.
  • Conduct site visits to oversee installations, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to project specifications.
