Overview

Job Title: M&E Technician
Location: Dublin 1
Contract Type: Permanent, full-time, 40 hours per week
Salary: €50,000 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated M&E Technician to join our Integrated Facilities Management team with Sodexo in Dublin 1. This role is vital in ensuring a safe, accessible, and welcoming environment for our client and staff. You will be part of a self-managed team of multi-skilled technicians, delivering high standards of technical support and maintenance services.

Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and reactive tasks on a wide range of electrical building services and systems including HVAC, fire safety systems, and building controls.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance using the CMMS (Maximo) system.
  • Manage safety across all contracts and participate in cross-functional meetings.
  • Liaise with service desk and respond to technical queries in line with service level agreements.
  • Coordinate external contractors and support minor installation and improvement works.
  • Maintain accurate records for electrical testing and certifications.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures including risk assessments and permit-to-work systems.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 3 to 5 years post-qualification experience in a facilities role.
  • Level 6 NQAI Certificate in Electrical Craft Practice or equivalent.
  • 3rd level degree in Mechanical, Plumbing, or Building Services Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical building services and plant engineering.
  • Experience in a regulated environment and with CMMS systems.
  • Excellent PC skills and ability to deliver presentations.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
