Position Overview

PORTER - Band 2

Full Clean Current Manual UK Driving License Required

Applications welcomed for a permanent, full time, Porter position.

Work Schedule

Shifts cover Monday to Sunday. Must be available to work shifts especially during week days and possibly night shifts.

Flexibility and reliability are necessary as this is a reactive service and you may be called at short notice for shifts.

On call duties will be required for helicopter landing procedures, full training will be given.

Qualifications and Criteria

To apply for this post, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Have a full manual UK driving license.
  • Must be flexible and be able to work in other areas in NHSG.
  • Basic numeracy skills and good communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to use Microsoft emails and teams.
  • Be able to work as part of a team and when competent be able to work alone.
  • Have the ability to carry out all aspects of the role safely, this can be a physically demanding role at times with a lot of walking involved.
