We are seeking a proactive and reliable Logistics Operative to join our team at Canary Wharf.

Job Description

This role is integral to ensuring the smooth operation of mail services, porterage, and logistics support within a dynamic corporate environment. You will play a key part in delivering a high-quality, efficient service to internal teams and external stakeholders, maintaining strong communication and operational excellence at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the loading bay, including recording incoming and outgoing deliveries and operating x-ray equipment safely.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages; prepare and send outgoing mail using franking machines.
  • Assist with office moves and meeting room setups as required.
  • Handle goods safely using manual handling techniques and equipment such as pallet trucks, trolleys, and skates.
  • Support the transportation of goods, materials, and equipment across floors.
  • Conduct routine equipment checks and report any safety concerns promptly.
  • Ensure proper stacking and storage of goods in designated areas, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Provide ad hoc administrative support to cover staff absence.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company policies, including compliance with the Data Protection Act.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal teams, clients, tenants, and external contractors.
