Job description

Intertechnic Logistics based in Blisworth, Northampton was established in August 2009. We currently oversee the movement of approximately 4,500 vehicles a month for a variety of including the Leasing, Daily Rental, Dealerships and Retail industries. With a fleet of our own drivers, we can carry out the movement of vehicles via Trade Plates, Inspect and Collect services for the Leasing sector and handover of new retail vehicles for Dealers and Leasing Companies. We work to the highest possible standards and concentrate on the value added services, which we believe sets us apart from the competition.

Due to increased volumes we now require an additional experienced member of staff to join our Driver Support team and are looking for the following-

Job purpose

To assist the Driver Support team

Key Responsibilities
  • 1. Reporting to the head of Operations
  • 2. Working together with the Allocators
  • 3. Telephone liaison with drivers
  • 4. Problem solving
  • 5. Pro-actively monitoring job / driver progress with the aid of GPS tracking as they carry out their daily duties and resolve any issues arising advising Allocators of changes that need to be addressed
  • 6. Notify Customer Service team of any late or non-arrivals
  • 7. Develop strong relationships within the transport team
  • 8. Training and development of your skills to cover for key staff absence through Holiday and Sickness cover
  • 9. Responsibility for on call out of hours contact on a rota system
Experience and Skills required :
  • Excellent Geographical knowledge
  • Some experience in a Transport environment
  • Proactive and organised
  • Computer literate and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Driven and passionate about the Logistics industry
Personal Profile

Excellent communication skills, computer literate, able to work within a team environment. A reliable, tolerant and flexible personality is required. Must be able to accept responsibility of tasks undertaken.

Hours of Work

It will be a 40 hour week between the hours of 8am

6pm Monday to Friday to be arranged. Out of hours responsibility to be discussed.

Holidays

You will be entitled to 23 days holiday per annum plus statutory Bank Holidays. Holiday should be taken at times agreed with the Operations Manager.
