Logistics Coordinator (Nights – 4 on 4 off) Location: Redditch Salary: Competitive Salary + 10% Shift Allowance Contract: Permanent, Full Time (Nights)

Introduction: Are you an experienced Logistics Coordinator with a background in European planning? Do you thrive in high-pressure, time-critical environments? We are recruiting on behalf of a leading logistics provider in Redditch for a Night Shift Coordinator to join their Time Critical department.

The Role: Operating on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (19:00 – 07:00), you will be the heartbeat of the night operations, acting as a hybrid between Customer Service and Transport Planning. You will be responsible for managing urgent customer enquiries, quoting complex shipments, and ensuring the smooth movement of goods across the UK and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quoting & Planning: Providing rapid quotations for EU and UK transport, offering solutions including Airfreight, Road, and Hand Carry.
  • Operational Management: Booking and tracking shipments, dealing with line stoppage situations, and sourcing suppliers.
  • Communication: Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, keeping them updated on job progress, and liaising with the warehouse regarding returns and outgoing loads.
  • Administration: Closing out job files, obtaining PODs, and ensuring all system data is accurate prior to invoicing.

The Ideal Candidate: To succeed in this role, you must have previous experience in the transport forwarding industry, specifically with European planning experience.

  • Essential: Proven experience in a similar logistics/freight forwarding role.
  • Skills: Strong computer literacy (MS Office), excellent numeracy, and the ability to multitask under pressure.
  • Attitude: You must possess a "can-do" attitude, a winning mentality, and the ability to resolve conflicting requirements independently.

Shift Pattern:

  • 4 on 4 off basis.
  • 19:00 – 07:00.
  • Includes weekend working.
