Qualifications

Now, we're looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our team.

About the Role

Reporting into the Plant & Transport Manager, the successful Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for planning, organising, and overseeing the efficient transportation and storage of goods, materials, and equipment.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you as the successful Logistics Coordinator will be carrying out the following duties and responsibilities (not exhaustive).

  • Planning & Scheduling - coordinating and scheduling deliveries and collections to meet operational requirements along with optimising routes and transport plans to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Inventory & Stock Control - monitoring stock levels and ensuring accurate documentation of goods in transit.
  • Compliance & Documentation - ensuring all transport activities comply with legal, safety and company standards along with preparing and maintaining accurate records including delivery notes, manifests and regulatory documentation.
  • Supplier & Stakeholder Management - communicating with suppliers, drivers, and internal teams to resolve issues promptly. You will also negotiate with transport providers for competitive rates and reliable service.
  • Performance Monitoring - tracking KPIs and reporting on logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.
What we are looking for

We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator who is in possession of the following skills/attributes.

  • Familiarity with telematics systems and fleet management tools e.g. GeoTab or Syrinx 360.
  • Good understanding of customer service expectations and excellent telephone manner.
  • Computer literate with Excel.
  • Good administrative and organisational skills.
  • Experience in HGV Logistics.
