Pay: 14.36 per hour

Hours: Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Adecco are recruiting for a Logistics Admin Assistant to join our client based in Groby, Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment and has a keen eye for detail.

The Role

You will be supporting the Logistics Team Leader to ensure smooth management of global shipments in line with business targets. The ideal candidate will be reliable, accurate, and able to work independently while contributing positively to a busy team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handling import clearance administration - providing clearance instructions, checking customs entries, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Providing administrative support to the Shipping Team – managing the shipping mailbox, tracking shipments, and obtaining PODs.
  • Assisting with the shipment of manual items, subcontractor parts, and supplier returns to UK customers.
  • Demonstrating flexibility and willingness to work additional hours (including some weekends) during peak periods.
About You
  • Previous administration or office experience.
  • A responsible, proactive attitude and the ability to use your initiative.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Confident using Microsoft Word and Excel (SAP experience desirable).
  • A team player with excellent communication and organisational skills.
