Locum Registered Veterinary Nurse – Full Time

Small Animal Practice | Ayrshire
Start: End of April / Early May
Pay Rate: Negotiable On Experience

We’re currently recruiting a Locum RVNto join a well-established, 100% small animal, veterinary practice in Ayrshire. This is a full-time locum role starting from the end of April or beginning of May, ideal for an RVN looking for a supportive, well-equipped environment.

The Practice

This long-standing, respected practice offers a wide range of services and prides itself on delivering high-quality, compassionate veterinary care. Facilities include:

  • Fully equipped surgical suites
  • In-house laboratory for blood and urine testing
  • Digital X-ray
  • High-resolution ultrasound with Doppler
  • Diagnostics and laser therapy
  • Acupuncture services
  • Nurse-led clinics and preventative care
  • Referral pathways to specialist centres

The practice also actively supports training and development, including student veterinary nurses and further clinical interests.

The Role

As a Locum RVN, you’ll be involved in a varied and rewarding caseload, including:

  • Nurse consultations and clinics
  • Vaccinations and preventative healthcare
  • Flea, tick and worming advice
  • Microchipping (dogs, cats and other species)
  • Dental care support
  • Weight management and nutrition clinics
  • Blood pressure monitoring
  • Routine pet care and patient support
  • Assisting with diagnostics and procedures
  • Supporting end-of-life care with empathy and professionalism
