Job summary

A healthcare practice in Yeovil is seeking a Locum Prescribing Paramedic to assist within an acute care hub. This role is essential for providing support during the Winter period and requires independent prescribing capabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in primary care and be able to work autonomously while receiving full support from a Duty GP. The hourly compensation is competitive, ranging between £45 and £50, and flexibility in hours is possible.

Qualifications

  • You must be qualified for this role and be registered with the HCPC.
  • Experience as a Paramedic in a Primary care setting is required.
  • Confident in autonomous prescribing and clinical decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the acute care hub with patient needs.
  • Conduct home visits if required.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Locum Prescribing Paramedic to support within an acute care hub at a well- established practice in the Yeovil area. The practice is ideally looking for a clinician who can start asap to support with acute care presentations over the Winter period.

You will have experience as a Paramedic working within a Primary care setting and will be confident in working autonomously, prescribing and clinical decision making. Full support from a Duty GP for any clinical queries and escalations will be available.

Salary – £45- £50 per hour

Location – Yeovil

  • Acute care hub located in a well-established practice in Yeovil

Your role
  • Locum Prescribing Paramedic
  • Ideally FT 5 days per week – but can consider partial cover
  • 9am – 6pm
  • Supporting acute care hub
  • Home visits could be required
  • Duty GP on hand to support with clinical queries or escalations
  • Primary Care experience - Essential
