Locum Pharmacy Technician urgently required for busy GP Surgery in Wembley

Dream Medical is working closely with a GP Surgery in Wembley to offer an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to start ASAP.

The role includes helping patients optimize their medicines by switching medications to approved protocols, improving repeat prescribing processes, promoting repeat dispensing and online ordering, minimizing clinical risks, and reducing wasted medicines.

The successful candidate will be responsible for encouraging understanding of medicines optimization principles, promoting good practice aligned with therapeutic developments, and performing clinical, technical, and administrative activities such as:

  1. Repeat prescriptions management
  2. Patient safety audits
  3. Medicines reconciliation
  4. Complete concordance / compliance reviews
  5. Counselling patients on medication use
  6. Counselling on high-risk or new medications
  7. Medication switching, including high-cost drugs
  8. Health promotion campaigns
  9. Responding to MHRA recalls
  10. Assisting with medication queries
  11. Clinical prioritization of patients and tasks

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, up to 35 hours per week, initially for 3 months with potential for permanent employment. Dream Medical offers attractive hourly rates paid weekly, mandatory training updates, DBS, and dedicated support during registration.
