Black Eyewear, an independent British eyewear company with over 20 years of heritage and a strong reputation for distinctive, design-led frames, is seeking qualified Locum Dispensing Opticians or experienced Optical Assistants to provide ad-hoc cover at our practices in London and St Albans, Hertfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work flexibly with a creative, customer-focused brand, supporting our in-store teams and delivering excellent patient care.

The Role

As a Locum Dispensing Optician or Optical Assistant, you will provide cover on an as-needed basis, ensuring smooth day-to-day practice operations and exceptional customer service. You’ll be a key part of our team during your cover shifts, dispensing eyewear, advising patients, and upholding the brand’s values.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense eyewear and provide expert optical advice to patients and customers.
• Support general practice duties, including patient care, customer service, and stock handling.
