A leading UK teaching hospital is seeking two locum consultant obstetricians to join their maternity team. This 12-month role includes various specialist clinics and general obstetric commitments, offering a chance to provide high-quality care in a supportive environment. Candidates should be compassionate and eager for self-development, with responsibilities including providing cover in the labour suite and conducting antenatal clinics.
We are looking to appoint 2 locum consultant obstetricians to join our maternity team for a 12-month post. The role includes a variety of specialist clinics (both scan and non-scan), such as mental health, vulnerable service users, twins, preterm birth, small baby, and Rainbow. These services are multi-professional, involving our specialist midwives. The successful applicant will join our team and have the opportunity to customise the post to include a special interest session of their choice. The post will also include a vulnerable service user clinic.
Our maternity service offers a range of specialist clinics, including mental health, vulnerable service users, twins, preterm birth, small baby, and Rainbow. The services are delivered by a multi-professional team, including specialist midwives.
The general obstetric commitments encompass routine and emergency obstetrics, with non-resident on-call duties (obstetrics only). Key clinical responsibilities include providing consultant labour suite cover, elective caesarean sections, ward rounds, maternity triage, assessment unit coverage, and antenatal clinics.
