About the Role

We are inviting applications for a full time, Locum Consultant in Oculoplastic Ophthamology based at Ipswich Hospital. The appointee will be expected to:

  • Take his/her share of the consultant clinical responsibilities within the department, including managing junior doctors within the Acute Referral department and develop the oculoplastic service.
  • The precise allocation of session time will be agreed with consultant colleagues, but there will be 8.5 clinical sessions of direct clinical care and 1.5 SPA for professional development and appraisal (10 PA total)
  • Provide cover for colleagues during leave and other authorised absences.
  • The applicant will be expected to join the on call consultant rota and paid a supplement for this.
