Overview

Applications are invited for a fixed term locum post until April 2026 to work in the Hand and Wrist Surgery team. The post is open to a suitably trained Orthopaedic or Plastic Surgeon. A regular on‑call commitment will compose part of the job plan.

Responsibilities
  • Cover hand trauma and elective commitments as detailed in the job plan.
  • Take part in departmental teaching, training, governance and performance.
Professional Requirements
  • Medically qualified and maintain GMC specialist registration.
  • Adhere to the Trust Patient Service Commitment and adopt a professional approach to patient care at all times.
  • Develop clinical practice through self‑reflection, learning from experience, application of research into practice and active contribution within the multi‑disciplinary team.
Working Conditions
  • Employment subject to a six‑month probation.
  • Some roles may require weekend shifts at multiple sites.
