Job summary

A major healthcare provider in Wales is seeking a part-time Locum Consultant Histopathologist to support the diagnostic Histopathology Service. The successful applicant will contribute to routine histopathological services and take part in teaching and audits. A special interest in breast pathology is desirable, along with a broad experience in general Histopathology. Suitable candidates should have GMC registration and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, ensuring high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Broad experience in general Histopathology with a special interest in breast pathology.
• Cytopathology experience would be required if cytopathology interest pursued.
• Understanding of clinical governance and its application.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the provision of a routine comprehensive diagnostic Histopathology Service.
• Participate in audit and internal quality assurance schemes.
• Teach and contribute to Clinico-Pathological Meetings.
