Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist to join its Specialist Community Forensic Team in Greater London. This role involves providing clinical leadership and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to support a complex caseload of outpatients. Ideal candidates must be registered with the GMC and have experience in forensic psychiatry. Qualifications

  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice at the time of appointment.
  • GMC Specialist Register or within six months.
  • Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership to the team and act as Responsible Clinician.
  • Work with approximately 30 outpatients in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Advise secure ward teams and support service users preparing for discharge.

Skills

Clinical skills in interviewing
Psychiatric risk assessment
Excellent written and oral communication
Ability to manage clinical complexity

Education

MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
CCT in Forensic Psychiatry
