We're seeking a skilled and compassionate Locum Dermatology Consultant to join our team in delivering high-quality, patient‑centred care. This role involves managing a diverse caseload of dermatological conditions, providing expert diagnosis and treatment, and contributing to multidisciplinary care planning.
Main duties of the job
- Clinical Management: Provide expert care across a broad range of dermatological conditions, including skin cancer and inflammatory skin disease.
- Procedural Work: Perform dermatological procedures such as biopsies, excisions, and minor surgeries in line with service needs.
- Teledermoscopy: Manage a dedicated teledermoscopy caseload, ensuring timely and accurate remote assessment of skin lesions.
- Clinical Leadership: Offer guidance and support to junior staff, contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions, and help shape service development.
- Documentation & Governance: Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to governance, safety, and quality standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across specialties to ensure integrated and patient‑centred care.

Qualifications
Essential
- Full GMC Registration and Licence to Practice
- MRCP or equivalent
- Valid Certified Advanced Life Support Skills
Desirable
- Relevant Higher Degree e.g. MD, PhD, MSc
- On Specialist Register due to obtain relevant CCT within 6 months of interview
- Or Portfolio Pathway (CESR) or equivalent European Qualifications for Specialist Registration
Clinical Experience

- Broad based experience in Dermatology
- Knowledge of UK hospital systems (or equivalent)
- Knowledge and participation in CPD
- Competence in Dermatology
