Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in London is seeking a community paediatric consultant to deliver comprehensive services within Specialist Children & Young People's Services. Qualifications

  • Experience in providing community paediatric services.

  • Provide clinical supervision and governance as part of the multidisciplinary team.
  • Conduct consultant clinics and administrative work.
  • Engage in teaching activities with staff and students.
Job description
Overview

The postholders will be expected to work within the multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive community paediatric service within Specialist Children & Young People's Services and will include responsibilities in the following areas:

Responsibilities
  • Clinical activities: a. Consultant clinics and related administrative work; b. Clinical triage of referrals; c. Clinical supervision as "Consultant of the Day" including Child protection; d. MDT clinical discussions or meetings; e. Any clinical patient-related meetings
  • Teaching: a. To contribute to departmental teaching; b. To contribute to teaching of medical students particularly in relation to community child health services
  • Management and leadership: a. Clinical Supervision; b. Clinical governance; c. Management supervision; d. Pathway leadership
  • Audit, Quality Improvement and Service Development
