Job description

Consultant Transplant Cardiologist – Wythenshawe Hospital

Applications are invited for 1 full-time Consultant Transplant Cardiologist to support services in the Manchester Heart Institute across Manchester. The position will be based at Wythenshawe Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in on‑call cardiothoracic surgery and heart/lung transplantation rotas operated on a 1 in 5 basis.
• Participate in on‑call cardiothoracic surgery rotas operated on a 1 in 4 basis.
• Provide specialist expertise as part of the team of 50 consultant cardiologists and 16 visiting consultants in the Manchester Heart Institute.
• Contribute to surgical post and other cardiothoracic procedures as required.

Qualifications

Candidate should have appropriate Cardiothoracic Transplantation experience.
