Job description

Project Manager / Product Operations Specialist – Localisation

12-month contract, outside IR35, fully remote

A global SaaS platform used by millions is beginning a major localisation programme across its international portfolio of sites. Engineering work on the translation API has started, but the operational workflow is still manual and not yet fit for scale. They now need a contractor who can sit between engineering, marketing, editorial and an external agency to formalise, document and build a scalable localisation process.

This role focuses on the operational layer above engineering. You will not be writing code, but you will work closely with teams adopting the new translation approach to ensure workflows, handoffs and responsibilities are clear and repeatable.

You will :
  • Map current localisation processes and identify gaps, bottlenecks and manual steps
  • Produce clear as-is and to-be workflow diagrams and define roles, handoffs and quality checks
  • Move the organisation from a manual process to a scalable, structured and more automated workflow
  • Coordinate between engineering, marketing, editorial and the external localisation agency
  • Support rollout of the new workflow and ensure consistent adoption across teams
  • Produce documentation, guidelines and templates for ongoing localisation operations
  • Provide day-to-day coordination for localisation tasks while the new system beds in
You should have :
  • Experience in project management or product operations within a digital or SaaS environment
  • Background in localisation, translation operations or similar cross-functional processes
  • Strong process design and workflow mapping capability
  • Experience helping organisations move from manual processes to scalable, automated or semi-automated systems
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical teams
  • Clear communication and stakeholder coordination skills
Contract :
  • 12 months
  • Outside IR35
  • Fully remote
  • Start as soon as agreed
