Fixed Term Contract (2 years)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Local Authority Research Practitioner (LARP) which is a new post within our Public Health and Prevention team at Bath & North East Somerset Council (B&NES).

About the role

The postholder will work alongside public health research leads in the three Council areas of B&NES, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW) to influence the delivery of better value and improved public health outcomes through the use of evidence-based practice.

The role will be managed by the Associate Director of Public Health at B&NES Council who is also the NIHR Public Health Engagement Lead for the BSW area.

The post may require occasional evening or weekend working.

The postholder will be able to use remote working but would be expected to work once per week from Keynsham Civic Centre, near Bath. Occasional visits to Council offices in Swindon and Wiltshire would also be an expectation as required.
